2025 Harvard University 6th International Conference on Chinese Pedagogy

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The 6th Harvard International Conference on Chinese Pedagogy (Harvard ICCP) will take place on October 10-11, 2025, fully in person at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The theme of this ICCP conference is Beyond Boundaries: Embracing the Future of Chinese Language Teaching. We warmly invite you to join us at the conference to engage, share, and explore the latest developments and trends in Chinese language pedagogy with scholars from North America and around the world.
In addition to keynote presentations by our guest speakers, we welcome proposals for research-based presentations. Graduate students and early-career scholars are especially encouraged to submit proposals. The conference aims to include, but is not limited to, the following areas:
- AI and Technology-Enhanced Language Teaching(人工智能与科技辅助语言教学)
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Language Education(语言教育中的多样性、公平性与包容性)
- Enrollment and Program Development(招生与项目发展)
- Second Language Acquisition: Theory and Practice(二语习得理论与实践)
- Content-based Language Teaching(内容本位语言教学)
- Curriculum and Textbook Design(课程与教材设计)
- Teaching Chinese across Disciplines(跨学科中文教学)
- Chinese Learning Community Development(中文学习社群发展)
- Corpus-based Language Teaching(语料库与语言教学)
- Language Testing and Assessment(语言测试与评估)
All who are interested in presenting at the conference should complete THIS FORM and submit the abstract (no more than 400 words in English or 600 characters in Chinese) at the end of the form by January 10, 2025, at 11:59 pm (Eastern Standard Time). Notifications regarding the results of the committee review will be sent by January 31, 2025. Accepted proposals will be organized into thematic panels. If your proposal is accepted, please submit the slides for your 15-minute presentation by September 26, 2025.
The conference will be held over two days: Friday, October 10, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and Saturday, October 11, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Presenters will receive complimentary admission, along with free lunch and dinner on Saturday, October 11. While we are unable to provide funding for travel or lodging due to budget limitations, we encourage you to seek support from your home institution.
