This is the second volume of the Harvard Chinese Language Series. It is designed to bring students with zero background or novice-mid language proficiency to novice-high proficiency. The volume covers topics related to common daily-life situations in a college setting, introducing relevant functional language throughout. The text follows a storyline with several fictional characters whom most learners of Chinese will be able to identify with—a Chinese-American, non-Chinese Ameircans, and Chinese from mainland China and Taiwan.
